Whistler Hotel Makes Sleeping Single Cool

Are you a backpacker? Have you travelled the world and stayed in Hostels? Do you like meeting new people? Do you love Whistler but the hotel prices are a bit out of your reach? Guess what, there is a brand new hotel concept that just opened in the heart of Whistler Village and it may be the answer to all Whistler travel prayers. Welcome to Pangea Pod Hotel, the first of its kind in Canada. It’s the only Whistler hotel that makes sleeping single cool again.

What is a pod hotel? It is like a hostel but better, way better. The Pangea Pod Hotel takes many aspects from hostel living but elevates them to a Whistler aesthetic. There is no Whistler hotel like this.

  • Great location – the Pangea Pod Hotel is located right in the heart of Whistler village, across from Starbucks and La Brasserie
  • Chic design – modern, funky and with an amazing eye for detail the Pangea Pod Hotel is designed to be visually interesting while still feeling at home in Whistler Village
  • Privacy – each Pod transforms itself into your own private space, including mini lockers for valuables and curtains for night time privacy. Each Pod suite comes with separate bath, shower and changing rooms so that no one should be bumping into each other when they start their day or end their night
  • Affordability – why pay for a 600 square foot room when you are only sleeping in 40 square feet? Pangea Pod Hotel offers unparalleled Whistler Village access at a fraction of Whistler hotel prices. Prices range from the mid $50’s a night to the high $100. Book direct & use code “PangeaPromo” for a 5% discount off the list price.

Let me take you on a tour of one of the sleeping Pods with one of the founders Russell King. I think you will be impressed with how well they thought it out.

After spending a night in my own Pod I can share that it is exceptionally private, quiet and I had an amazing sleep. Here are a few more photos showing off the in pod security features including a locker for laptops and valuables.

Another hostel feature that the Pangea Pod Hotel has embraced is creating community. The living room and lounge on the main floor located beside check-in is the perfect place to get a little work on your laptop done or meet some of your Pod neighbours.

The WiFi is strong, free and available throughout the entire property. Share a selfie with all the new friends you’ve met.
