Most people like to get away for at least one vacation, each year. They need a break from what are usually quite stressful lives. So, understandably having their vacation cancelled, because the company they booked with went bust or bad weather, hits people hard. In that situation, they worry that they will not get their money back.

Unless they get all of their money back, most people cannot afford to book themselves an alternative vacation. Usually, their finances simply do not stretch to that.
