Living The Luxe Life, Renting A Palm Springs Vacation Home

It is hot, dry and the constant drone of the Cicadas is everywhere. Palm Springs is a magical and wonderful desert oasis perfect for escaping the everyday life. I’ve been coming to this fabulous city for four years and each time I discover something new. This year one of my discoveries is a Palm Springs vacation home luxe enough that I never want to leave. The San Jacinto mountains are in the backyard. There is a pool and all the modern conveniences you could ask for plus two separate entertainment areas if you want to escape from your spouse or travel partner. I may have just spoiled myself for any future visits to Palm Springs. The luxe life in this Palm Springs vacation home doesn’t get much better.

Pool life at a Palm Springs vacation rental managed by Acme

This particular Palm Springs vacation home is called Downtown Cosmo at the Dakota and is managed by my friends at Acme House Co. I’ve stayed at another Acme House Co. managed rental before and loved the ease and friendly service they provide. With each rental, you receive complete instructions via email on how to access the house and once inside there is a binder easily organized with everything you need to know. From WiFi login details to when the pool & landscapers come by for weekly maintenance.

The Dakota development is a gated community, so extremely safe and secure. First access to this home is through the units parking garage. When you first open the door to the home this is what you see. AMAZING.

The kitchen is located on the first floor of this two-storey townhouse and is a cooks dream. Outfitted with top of the line Viking Appliances you may not want to eat out. Undercabinet lighting and plenty of electrical outlets mean you can prepare anything you want in any part of the kitchen with ease. The cupboards are fully stocked with plates, glasses, pots & pans, plus all the knives and assorted utensils you could need.

Once past the living room, you can see the pool area and the stairs up to the second level. Let’s take a walk through it shall well? The second floor has a small lounge area between the two bedrooms. A perfect escape with a book or to have morning coffee while watching the news. Check out the video walkthrough.

I told you it was luxe.

Towards the end of my stay, my Palm Springs friends were dying to see the house in person. Be warned you may have to host a little cocktail party should you choose to enjoy the luxe life at Downtown Cosmo at the Dakota.

If you don’t feel like cooking may I suggest Mr Lyons & Seymours. Both are less than a five-minute walk from the home and serve up wicked cocktails and meals. Close enough you can stumble home and enjoy a late night soak in the pool before bedtime.

The luxe life is a good one and this Palm Springs vacation home is top of my list for places to stay when I come back. Heads up though if you plan on staying here as you need to book a minimum 30-day stay. It is part of the community rules and ensures that traffic is at a minimum.
