During a recent visit to Phoenix and Mesa Arizona, I had the opportunity to add an extra day in Phoenix so that I could take part in a Segway tour of the Sonoran Desert. How could I say no to that? I couldn’t but I needed to find a place to stay that wouldn’t break the bank, looked nice and offered amenities to make my downtime more pleasant. The Embassy Suites By Hilton Phoenix-Scottsdale fit the bill perfectly. I only wish I was able to bring my golf clubs as the hotel overlooks the Stonecreek Golf ClubView from my balcony at the Embassy Suites By Hilton Phoenix Scottsdale

When I landed at the airport I discovered one thing. Phoenix, Scottsdale and Mesa are really close together and this is a car city. If you don’t feel like renting a car UBER is here and it is pretty fast to find a ride. I took an Uber from the airport straight to the hotel and it only took about 20 minutes or so.

Check in was done virtually the day before as I was able to check in on my Hilton Honors App account. I was even able to select the room I wanted. A visit to the front desk to get my key and then right to my room to unpack.

Pretty nice and I love the view. I also love that I have a separate bedroom which allows me to be messy if I want to.

As this is a work trip I appreciate the work desk in the living room. There is also a small kitchenette in the room which will be great for those staying for longer than a couple of nights. I’d stock the fridge up with water and some light snacks for when I feel peckish.

Did I mention how great the view is? My room overlooks the golf course and the view is amazing no matter the time. A quite impressive sunrise is visible from this room.

The best amenity, in my opinion, is the golf course right in the hotels’ backyard, but they also have a great pool area and a lobby bar and lounge for a casual drink or two before heading out for a night on the town.

Breakfast is included at the Embassy Suites By Hilton Phoenix-Scottsdale which is another nice touch. Crispy bacon and an omelette made while I watched is the perfect way to start my day.

Convenient location, great value and nicely appointed rooms that were just recently renovated. Three reasons that the Embassy Suites By Hilton Phoenix-Scottsdale may be your home away from home when you visit the area.
