Aeroplan Announces Travel At Home Campaign And Altitude Status Extension Until 2021

Travel at home to accelerate your status and reach Air Canada Altitude status from the comfort of your couch

As a frequent traveller, one of the perks I most looked forward to was reaching Air Canada’s Altitude status. The access to the Maple Leaf Lounges in North America, upgrade credits I could use for long haul flights, complimentary checked bags and most importantly the option to earn bonus miles on flights. These are the perks I used the most but with all my travel cancelled for the foreseeable future how will I ever reach Altitude status this year for next year? Well, Air Canada has some good news for travellers like me and you, your 2020 staus has been extended into 2021 and best of all Aeroplan has launched a new Travel At Home campaign that will allow you to transform your Aeroplan miles into your Altitude status.

So how does this all work? If you already achieved Altitude Status for 2020 then you will automatically have the same status extended for the 2021 travel year. Best of all you will be able to gift your status to a loved one as well so they can travel with the same status perks you enjoy. All the details are listed here at AirCanada.com

For those that haven’t achieved Altitude status this year you still have a chance to even though you aren’t on a plane at the moment. From April 20th until May 31st Travel At Home allows you to convert Aeroplan donations to charity, hotel and credit card point conversions, Aeroplan affiliated credit card purchases and shopping with the 170 retailers on the Aeroplan eStore into Altitude Qualifying Mile (AQM).
