It’s a Zinger of a Slinger with @VanRagazine at @SlingersMobile

Comfort Italian cuisine makes me go mmmmmmm!

When I checked out my Street Food App to see which food trucks where open that I hadn’t visited yet one that jumped out at me was Slingers mobile food. I called my buddy Cole up who had just returned from a trip and invited him to lunch. It was a date.

With the weather turning to that awesome fall crispness what better day to check out a food truck that promises to serve you comfort Italian food.

Comfort Italian Food

Located at Thurlow and Hastings it was a bit of a farther walk from my office than I’ve been used to but I’ve heard the food was worth it.

So let’s get right to the menu as I’m starving. Cole went for the signature Chicken Parmesan Sandwich while I went for the Meatball Sub. We also ordered a side of their Italian Homestyle Fries with garlic dip to share. My mouth is watering all over again.

While we wait I notice a couple of cool things I haven’t seen on other food trucks. Monday’s is $5 Pasta Mondays and you can call in your order for pick up ahead of time. Great idea and I’m sure it helps to offset the slower periods and build customer loyalty especially for the upcoming rainy season ahead of us. Pasta Mondays

Order ahead

Our food is ready, I can’t wait to try. We sit at a little park right across from the park and devour our food.

This is a truck I will definitely be returning to. Make sure to follow them on Twitter and Facebook for what’s coming up and new.

With only two more trucks to visit until the end of this 30 Days Adventure, please comment after this post and tell me your favourite so far. One random comment will be chosen at 8am on Oct 19th and that person will get to join me for lunch that day for my final Food Truck Adventure!
