O Canada, enchanting Canada! We all know this beautiful country is famous for its expansive wilderness, picturesque landscape and breathtaking scenery. Some even go far as to say it is a paradise on earth! The country has so much to offer to people of all ages and walks of life.

The country is known for various destinations and key locations such as Niagara Falls, the CN Tower and Stanley Park, as well as its characteristic cities and towns. There are just so many things to do in this country that sometimes it’s just difficult to know where to start from! In fact, a few days is hardly enough to explore more than one city.

The best way to go about it would be to make your own list of the different places in Canada you want to visit and plan a holiday for each one. In this article, we’re going to list the 3 places that in our opinion, should be at the very top of your list!

Vancouver is a seaport on the west of British Columbia, but don’t let this fool you into thinking that this city is not bustling with people and activities. In fact, this city is perfect for pretty much every activity you can think of, whether its nature-related like hiking, cycling, skiing and golfing, or more tourist-related, like shopping, dining, and visiting historical sites like Stanley Park and Gastown, the oldest of Vancouver neighbourhoods.

Stanley Park Beaver Lake

Stanley Park is one of the largest parks in the world, measuring around 400-hectare. This massive piece of land is situated amidst the busy, urban streets of Vancouver, and offers jaw-dropping views of mountains, water, beaches and several historical landmarks. Stanley Park also boasts the largest aquarium in Canada, home to over 70,000 creatures!

Gastown has a wonderful combination of the historical and traditional with trendy bars, restaurants, and chic cocktail lounges. The best way to experience Gastown is by walking through its cobbled streets full of Victorian buildings and vintage lamp posts. Water Street, in particular, is very popular with tourists. You can get a wonderful view of the scenery and buildings and there is also the famous Steam Clock located on this street.

Toronto is where the iconic CN Tower is located. Although it is one of the more mainstream tourist attractions in the city, you should still not miss out on the experience. After all, this tower was once the highest building in the world! Plus, if you’re feeling courageous, you can look down as you walking on the glass floor – something which is not for the faint-hearted!

Toronto Skyline

The city of Toronto is always buzzing. It is abundant in restaurants, cafeterias and bars, nature parks, beaches, art exhibitions and so much more. It is also a town where people never rest. There are always musicians playing in the streets, and other street artists performing.

There are also regular events and festivals taking place, not to mention that this city hosts the largest of concerts every year. One of the most-anticipated festivals this year is the Sailor Moon Festival which will be taking place over two days in summer.

There are also some of the best casinos in Canada both in and around Toronto, like the popular Casino Niagara and Casino Rama. Although nowadays people can easily play casino games online, there’s nothing quite like treating yourself to a luxurious evening amongst a group of elite people every once in a while! And what better way to do it than when you are travelling to another country?

Last but not least is the gorgeous little town of Whistler situated in the north of Vancouver. In case you didn’t know, Whistler is the number one ski resort in North America. It became even more popular after three venues in Whistler were used for the 2010 Winter Olympics. Since then, it has continued to grow in popularity.

Although Whistler is mostly visited in the winter months, being that it is primarily known as a skiing destination, what most people might not know is that, while it is a winter wonderland in the cold months, it is also a sunny haven in the summertime.

And if you really want to take your experience to the next level, then you absolutely have to go ziplining!
