I am DRUNK! Drunk with excitement that Saturday March 26th is the 3rd annual BC Distilled. A tasting event featuring twenty seven British Columbian craft and micro distilleries in one place from 6:30 to 9 pm at the Croation Cultural Centre. Everything from Gin, Vodka, and Whiskey will be on hand to sample along with tasty canapes prepared by great local restaurants like Forage, Boulevard and Edible Canada. If you haven’t made plans for the Easter weekend then head over and get your ticket now. $59.99 is all it takes to enjoy samples from all 27 distilleries and food from some of Vancouver’s best restaurants. If that isn’t enough to convince you, here are 5 more reasons to attend BC Distilled.

Yaletown Distilling Company serves up top shelf Vodka and Gin

1. It’s Canada’s largest craft and micro-distillery festival, featuring 27 BC artisan distilleries pouring samples of gin, vodka, whisky and liqueurs. (BC has more distilleries than the rest of Canada put together!)

Gillespie's Sin Gin is the main ingredient in Boulevard's Burrard Gimlet cocktail

2.  There are five new distilleries to check out this year: Sherringham, de Vine, Okanagan Crush Pad, Bohemian Spirits & Woods Spirit Co. (Woods will be launching its amaro at the event.)

OK Spirits Aquavitus sets the Van Dusen Sour apart at Boulevard

3. Canapés will be provided throughout the evening, courtesy of local chefs. (Chef Chris Whittaker of Forage will be teaming up with Wayward for a food and drink pairing; Cartems and Cioffi’s will be partnering with distilleries as well.

4. Legacy Liquor will have a pop-up shop on site selling more than 100 products from all the participating distilleries – the biggest selection of BC spirits you’ll find anywhere, all year.

Liberty Distillery serves up a Tom Cat cocktail made with Endeavor Old Tom Gin

5. Tickets are only $59.99 and there’s no better way to spend a night out over the Easter long weekend.

And just in case it needs saying again… 27 BC Craft and Micro Distilleries all in one place. Your ticket to the event gets you access to every distillery in the room. No need for drink tickets you are a VIP.

Hope to see you at BC Distilled on March 26th. By the way, after the festival ends make sure you head over to Yaletown Distilling Company, The Liberty Distillery and Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar (largest selection of BC Spirits at a single bar) to sample some of the signature cocktails I featured above.
